This car was my second attempt at trying to own a classic muscle car it too failed miserably. I bought this from a scam artist in Bangor PA who ended up being jailed on a slew of other fraud offenses after ripping me off. I bought the car on eBay and picked it up in person and drove it home. I new the truck pan needed to be replaced and the factory 305 was very tired. It also needed a new interior and some suspension and brake upgrades but nothing out of the ordinary for an unrestored 40+ year old car.
After getting the car home and dropping it off at my mechanic for an inspection we discovered that the entire frame was rotted out and had been covered up with bondo and fiberglass and then painted. It was so bad my mechanic was blown away when I told him I drove the car 50+ miles home from where I bought it. His exact words were" Yeah, you shouldn't have done that."
So, I ended up selling it to a guy in NJ who had a new frame sitting in his shop and the equipment to do a body swap. I had also already purchased an entire new interior so I had to resell all of that on Craiglist as well.
